Jared prefers the ship to the mansion where there’s a small staff of manservants around all the time. Jared feels real uncomfortable there; the staff won’t play cards with him or anything.

Just didn’t recognize Jared after a bath, shave and new clothes. Jared does look very very different from the old one that was a part time pirate, brigand and murderous brother. A real improvement.
