Point for Rijik.

Today’s vote incentive is brought to you by Jago of the Seven Knives. They made a comment about Rijik’s hat that prompted me to make a silly little comic for it.

This weekend I was in a baking mood. My first experiment was something my new candy-making book called “kitty Crunchies.” It’s candy made to look like cat poop in cat litter, and it is surprisingly lifelike. I made a huge batch for a party and while the guests found them entertaining to look at, most weren’t brave enough to taste them. Either that, or they were outshined by the Paula Deen spice cake with cream frosting containing at least two whole sticks of butter, which was why it was so delicious. My second experiment was from a recipe I got from my local Organic Market: Apple and sweet potato cinnamon muffins. While the texture is more mushy than I like in muffins (due to my substitution of flour), they are very very tasty and would do well at a party if I had another one to go to. Alas, my husband and I will just have to eat them ourselves. The torture.
