As I was doing the previous page, I thought to myself, how can I charge the background so it reflects the tension in the scene? When I was finishing up this page, it came to me. Action lines! An avid reader of shounen manga, I love these guys. They do cover up the background I painstakingly did, but I think they add a bit more tension to the scene.
