Yet another country! The Velts are a conglomeration of nations with each possessing their own laws, but overseen by a federal government.
This weekend I saw the movie, “Triplets of Belleville.” I really liked it, particularly for the visuals and the music. It’s really neat how the director was able to communicate through gesture, music, and noise rather than dialogue. I’ve always been afraid to do a comic with no dialogue, but one day I think I shall take up the challenge. 🙂 What irked me about the movie was that we watched it in English, but there was very little translation of anything save the first and last lines of the movie. The French president would be talking in French on the television and there was no subtitles. Perhaps what he was saying was unimportant, but I do like knowing these things and wish they had bothered to either dub it in English or throw subtitles on over it.
