Cook is dangerous, just in case you didn’t know.
Oh, and thank you guys who were concerned about my back. It’s much better now, hence my long-winded rambling blog. 😀
In big news this week, I’m currently putting together the last pieces of Book 2 and in the process of negotiating with another printer. Since this printer isn’t like Ka-blam in that you can order print-on-demand, I’m going to be taking pre-orders. Once I hear back from the printer, I’ll start taking them, so watch both this site and my twitter/tumblr/facebook feed to get more information. And, this week and next week only, the vote incentives will be mini comics done for the book. This will be the only time you see them for free, so get to voting on TWC! 😀 I’ll leave the first one, “Gambling Blues” up all this week, and the next one, “Bathtime” will be up next week.
There is no SpiderForest comic of the week this week because we decided to take a break. In the interim, I’ll plug a new webcomic I’ve discovered recently: Rumbirds by Sarah O. Rumbirds is an online serial comic about two girls, Pippa and Vivie, trying to make it as detectives on the tiny tropical island of St. Jorts. Like me, it’s done manga-style, and if you love shoujou manga, you will love Rumbirds. It’s quirky in all the right places and Sarah’s style is so much like shoujou manga that it could be produced in Japan. Not only does she have a great comic, she also blogs about how to use different media, particularly Manga Studio, some of which has helped me greatly.
I find panel two (2) and four (4) very funny. …a pretty good argument against excessively large or long nose rings!
