I had way too much fun with the pie splat in the last panel, both researching and drawing. You have to love a job where you sit and watch people get splattered in the face with a pie to watch the mechanics. ^__^ A lot of the pies that were thrown were cream pies with no crust, so I had to compensate since this pie has a crust. The filling probably wouldn’t have leaked out the way I drew it, but it’s too much fun to have pie filling on Krawley’s face so I took some artistic liberties.

It depends on how liquid the filling is. An apple pie probably wouldn’t splat like that but a meat pie, that’s basically full of stew? Good chance. 😀
Soupy Sales’ pies usually seemed to have some sort of crust. Plus he was the king of pie comedy.
