The cost to hire a magic user, any magic user, is quite high. Usually only towns, cities, and governments have the cash to hire a magic user, paid for through taxes, but the rich have been known to be able to afford a private one. Usually medics are the most common, but crystal workers and on occasion converters are also highly sought by the rich.

This week’s vote incentive is a sketch of Jonathan for the next page. I played around a bit with some filters and paper textures on this sketch, trying to develop a bit more photoshopy skills.

Also, Count Dolby of Frederick the Great was kind enough to write some nice words about LaSalle’s Legacy on his blog on November 10. I’ve only managed to read a few pages, but so far his comic has a wry sense of humor that had me laughing out loud more than a few times and he shares my love of periwigs. Check it out if you can! 🙂
