Silver Throated Grackle; Page 8
Happy November everybody! I hope you all didn’t eat too much candy yesterday and had a fun Halloween weekend and a blessed Samhain. 🙂 After today, we’ll be leaving Madeline a bit; this weeks vote incentives will be previews of the next pages.
This weekend I went to Chestertown to participate in Sultana projects downrigging weekend. My husband and I took a small tour of the Chesapeake in a two-masted schooner called a punjy, which was apparently very popular in the Maryland area in the 1800s. Sadly, the Lady Maryland is the last of her kind. The crew allowed us to help them hoist the sails, and I got a first hand glimpse as to how strong sailors need to be, and how little upper body strength I have. We had wonderful weather for sailing, if a bit cold, and our crew had fun shooting our tiny cannon (about 12 inches long) at the other ships and later participated in a ‘potato cannon’ war against one of the other ships. I’ll post pictures up on the facebook page hopefully sometime this week (I announce this so that I actually do it; my friends know I am bad with posting pictures). XD
I am also participating in NaNoWriMo this month. If you want to join me, I’m writing under the name ‘bukittyan’. Just say you want to be my writing buddy and I’ll add you to my list. If not, wish me luck. I’m going to need it this year, especially with Skyrim coming out next week. 😉
I’m putting off buying Skyrim until December Or, rather, I’m telling myself that I am…we’ll see if my willpower holds up. 😉
Good luck with that! 😉 I’m taking Friday off to play. Of course, I’ll probably just barely have my Character created by the end of the day. XD
