Yvette does like frilly dresses, just not from crummy ex-boyfriends.
So I watched this British movie called Another Year recently on Netflix. I have no idea how it got into our queue, but it wasn’t too bad. It was a slice-of-life movie about a older married couple and their friends, with a bit of comedy thrown in there. A lot of the movie involved awkward conversations, done really well, but not much seemed to happen in terms of plot movement. I kind of liked it, but would probably like it more as a play rather than a movie. It had that kind of feel to it.
This week’s Spiderforest Comic of the Week is Soul to Call by Rommie.
In a post-apocolyptic world, demon summoning and zombies are now the new normal in a world gone mad. Avril, a streetwise carrier, is seeking an entity called the Anathema, which is said to have the abilities she needs. But to get clues on how to summon such a creature, she has to travel far and wide and battle some pretty nasty demons along the way. Spooky, and hauntingly gorgeous with plenty of great action, Soul to Call is a great read if you love comics about the undead. And since you’re reading mine, you probably do, right?
