So I decided to play around with the inking on this page and use Manga Studio 5 instead of MS4, which is my normal program of choice. While I like the inking tools on MS5 better, I haven’t figured out how to get it to work consistently yet. I’m on deadlines so I left this page as is, but if I ever have time I might re-ink it in MS4 just so it looks consistent with the rest of this chapter. I went back to MS4 after this page, as it’s just easier for me at the moment. It was an experiment that didn’t quite work the way I expected it to.
Is it jailbreak time? I hope it’s jailbreak time!
I switched from MS4 to MS5 last chapter. Is there a certain pen tool over there that you use that’s not in MS5 or something?
Time for a topless protest!
Like this?
Maaaaayyyybeeeee……
I downloaded some inking brushes/pens from Frenden and was using them this page. The biggest problem I had was consistency; when I zoomed in the same ink pen created a different width line than when I zoomed out. And since I like zooming in and out often, it was a little tricky to work with. And partly it’s unfamiliarity with using it as a comic-making tool. I need to buckle down and just learn how to use it properly.
Uh…exactly what I had in mind….
